This powder coating production line can be used for small and medium-sized metal plate coating:
Powder coating line process flow:
1.Pre-Treatment: | Metal materials undergo a pre-treatment process to enhance coating adhesion and corrosion resistance. Common pre-treatment methods include chemical cleaning, phosphating or chromate conversion coating. Pretreating metal surfaces provides better powder adhesion and improves coating performance. |
2. Drying: | After the pretreatment is completed, the metal material will be passed through a drying furnace to remove residual moisture on the surface so that the powder can better adhere to the metal surface. |
3. Powder Coating Application: | The dried metal material can be powder sprayed. Use a powder spray gun to electrostatically charge the powder coating and spray it onto the metal. Positively charged powder particles are attracted to the grounded aluminum profile, adhering evenly to the surface. |
4. Powder Curing: | After powder coating, the metal is transferred to a curing oven. In the curing oven, the powder coating undergoes a thermal curing process. The heat of the oven causes the powder particles to melt and flow, forming a continuous, smooth coating. The curing process also chemically cross-links the powder particles, ensuring a durable, hardened surface. |
5. Cooling: | After the curing process, allow the coated metal to cool. This cooling phase stabilizes the coating and ensures it maintains its performance and appearance. |
6. Quality Inspection: | After cooling, the coated aluminum profiles undergo a thorough quality check. Inspections include checking coating thickness, appearance, adhesion and overall quality to ensure it meets specified standards. |
